What do you need from me to start a de-palletizing job?
BOL + packing list, separation rules (SKU/PO/destination), any labeling specs/samples, and special handling notes (height caps, fragile, etc.).

Safe removal of freight from existing pallets and conversion into floor-loaded, loose, or mixed configurations for cube optimization, special handling, or equipment change. Managed with SLA, Platform-Guided Workflows, and a complete digital photo trail.

De-Palletizing is the process of removing freight from existing pallets and preparing it as floor- loaded, loose, or mixed configurations. Shippers and carriers use it when they need to optimize cube, meet special handling rules, change equipment types, or prepare freight for cross-dock, transload, or storage.
Every job follows a structured playbook—Inbound → Verify → De-Palletize → Stabilize/Prepare → Release. Workflow Gates enforce counts, photos, and safety checks at each step.
Time-stamped photos (before/after, GPS & timestamps), updated counts, labels, and eDocs/ePOD (where available) are saved to a digital job file on the Freitty Ops Platform, reducing disputes and providing clear evidence of condition.
If freight must be removed from pallets and held temporarily, we can stage or move it into short- term storage while you coordinate the next move, maintaining the digital chain-of-custody.
We configure freight for your next step—floor-loading for containers, mixed stacks for cross- dock, or loose freight for repack—within equipment and safety limits.
Combine de-palletizing with palletizing, cross-dock, rework, short-term storage, reloading/transload, or Local Pickup & Delivery in one order with centralized booking, tracking, documentation, and billing.

How Our De-Palletizing Service Works
01
Request & Define the Outcome
Send BOL, counts, target configuration, and any special handling limits. Photos help for complex loads.
02
Digital Check-In & Assessment
Trailer checks in, condition is documented, freight is unloaded, and counts are confirmed.
03
Platform-Guided De-Palletizing
We remove freight from pallets and rebuild it per your instructions (floor-loaded, loose, mixed). Re-wrap or basic labels if requested.
04
Verify, Document & Release
Final photos and counts are uploaded, documents updated, and freight staged or handed off for the next move.
You Need to Convert
Pallets to Floor-Loads
For example, moving from domestic palletized freight to floor-loaded container export,
or maximizing cube on certain lanes.
You’re Changing
Equipment or Mode
Adjusting freight for a different trailer or container type, or preparing freight for transload/cross-dock operations.
Special Handling,
Inspection, or Repack is
Required
Product must be accessible for QA, relabeling, or repack, and pallets get in the way.
Receiver/Retailer Specs
Require a Different
Configuration
Freight must arrive loose or in mixed stacks rather than standard pallets, subject to their guidelines.
You’re Preparing for
Deconsolidation or
Complex Splits
Breaking pallets down is the first step before cross-dock splits, route waves, or store-level allocation.
Supported Equipment (varies by location):
• 53’ dry vans and reefers
• Domestic intermodal (53’)
• Ocean containers (20’/40’/45’ — dry/HC)
• Box/straight trucks
Freight Types Handled:
• Cartons and cases
• Crates and boxed equipment
• Retail, e-commerce, and general non-hazmat freight

• Basic relabeling/label replacement
• Corner boards/top sheets/dunnage

Yes. We can de-palletize and rebuild freight into different configurations for multiple outbounds, hubs, or processes—as long as rules and capacity are defined up front.
04
Yes—where requested and available. We can apply shrink-wrap, straps, corner boards, or dunnage to keep loose/mixed stacks stable. Supplies are pre-approved and billed separately.
