How far does a typical drayage trip go?
Most moves are local, within 25–75 miles of the port or rail ramp. We routinely cover up to 100–150 miles; longer lanes are handled via a drayage + linehaul handoff for speed and cost control.
Port & rail moves with next-day planning and same-day on request. Centralized control with milestone tracking and ePOD/photo proof.

Drayage is the short-haul movement of ocean and intermodal containers between ports/rail ramps and nearby facilities. FREITTY connects these moves with cross-dock, storage, and onward transport to control cost, time, and risk.
Operations run via Platform-Guided Workflow Gates that capture time-stamped photo proof and ePOD (where available), providing a verifiable digital chain-of-custody.
We align to terminal hours, LFD/rail free-time, and chassis requirements; cutoffs confirmed at booking.
Time-stamped photo log and eDocs/POD (where available) reduce disputes.
One place to request, track milestones, and reconcile charges.
Up-to-date availability across ports and rail ramps, visible on the Network Map.
Seamless pre-pull to yard, transload/restack, and hand-off to P&D or Hub-to-Hub.
Digitally managed steps from pre-pull to return, with exception handling.

LFD/free-time deadlines are approaching; need pre-pull or urgent out-gate.
Rail cutoff windows require precise timing and chassis availability.
Need yard staging before cross-dock, rework, or storage.
Port congestion risks demurrage/per-diem; pre-pull reduces exposure.
Coordinating first/last-mile around vessel/rail ETA changes.
Multi-stop programs where containers feed scheduled linehaul.

20’, 40’, 45’ (dry/HC), 53’ domestic intermodal, and reefers (plug-in or genset on request). OOG (flat-rack/open-top) can be arranged subject to route/facility suitability and prior approval.

We can supply port/ramp-approved chassis (standard, tri-axle, and 53’ domestic) or use your pool—subject to terminal/ramp rules and availability. Overweight corridors may require tri-axle and/or permits; we’ll advise at booking.
04
Yes. We offer pre-pull from port or rail ramp to secured yards with short-term storage (grounded or on-chassis) to protect Last Free Day/rail free time and reduce demurrage/detention. Optional transload or onward delivery can be coordinated. Digital chain-of-custody is maintained (photo log; eDocs/ePOD where available).
05
Quotes reflect container size/type (incl. 53’ domestic), distance/zone, terminal or ramp fees (e.g., TMF/PierPass, lift/flip, in-gate/out-gate), chassis/pool costs, fuel, and accessorials (pre-pull, storage, reefer power, drop/hook, wait/dwell).
Overweight/permit/escort charges apply where relevant. All pass-throughs are itemized before you confirm.

Details vary by location; quotes show all accessorials before you confirm.
